Having some issues as I want to replace the 160mm rotors on my Boardman Team with 180mm's. Will I need to do anthing else apart from just fitting it on the wheel, and is it worth it even?

You'll need to get a +20mm adaptor for the caliper to move it out enough to stop it fouling the disc.
Oh and yes it is worth the upgrade.

you will need an adapter to move the caliper out a little, is it worth it? a little unless you just ride along the canal then not so much.

You'll need a new brake adapter, which are about £5 each

Other than that, nothing, just fit and ride. It'll take a while to bed in, but when it has, you'll notice the extra power, and if you're anything above about 10 stone I'd say it's definitely worth it on the front at least.

I debated to do the same thing to mine for a couple of weeks, when i got round to it it was definately worth it.

Been looking at the muckynutz website and their 180mm rotors are around £20. Is that a reasonable price?

Depends what you want... Brake rotors can be had for sub £10 if you look around... Try Superstar Components, or look on ebay for "a2z" for some cheaper rotors.

thanks a lot, this has really helped 😀
I should be buying my components as soon as possible.

If in doubt, just get a front one upgrade. I can always lock up my back wheel easily using one finger with the 160mm rotor.
