Infowars has been sold, Alex Jones is REALLY pissed!

In an act of devine retribution, The Onion has bought Infowars! So far there’s been no news of Alex Jones suffering from a stroke. Sadly.

Whilst I applaud the demise of infowars, surely mr exploding beetroot head can just go somewhere else to spout his bile, in fact it’s surprising he hasn’t been offered a place in the forthcoming Trump cabinet!

He’s lost his infrastructure to The Onion. He’s ben found guilty of repeatedly spouting lies. I wonder if his audience (still?) believe him.

Yes – but not for money, or not without handing any money he makes over. As people who aren’t subscribers to his channel we only hear his output as clips of him and  his fat-neck, temple-bulging ire. What you actually get as an Infowars consumer is a bit of that in between lots and lots of  sales of spurious ‘supplements’. And it’s those he made the real money from. The rants were just there to bring people and their wallets to the website.

There are particular rules around the circumstances that lead to his bankruptcy – the intentional and deliberate causing of distress –  that makes the debt that he’s acrued through the awarding of damages non-dischargeable. Bankruptcy doesn’t just write it off. As part of the bankruptcy order not only has he had to report all past and current financial transactions and assets  – he has to continue to report them into the future as well. Under oath.

Interestingly The Onion haven’t just bought the name / site / IP. They’ve bought the production studio to have fun with too. But  they’ve even bought the supplements business which was the  real golden goose for him. Without that theres not actually any point in him having all his performative aneurisms.

Jones had already transferred the content of the supplements business to his dad, it remains to be seen whether the courts will go after that as ‘offically’ Jones has nothing to do with it. I can’t see that situation going on for long, but listening to him yesterday morning as the folks came into the studio was a beautiful moment.

The onion wrote a piece from the HQ of Bruce Tetraeder their Global CEO. I think it’s designer solely to give Jones an Aneurysm.

Jones tried to read it on air, and honestly, 1. I don’t think he could pronounce the name, 2. I think he realised pretty quickly that it was satirical, but still latched onto parts of it as revealing their dark purpose behind buying InfoWars. 3. Jones really didn’t pay any attention to how the auction was going to be run 4. complained bitterly about the fact that he was having to chide workers (who don’t work for him anymore ) to start working on the alternate plan they had after their 3 hour strategy meeting the previous day. 5. Really wanted to have the mic wrestled out of his hands in a ‘final show down’ moment and was really really pissed off that it didn’t happen like that.

It was brilliant, what a whiny little ****.

he has said many hundreds of different, mutually contradictory things. Including things he knew to be false.

indeed anything he thought would serve to drive traffic. I don’t care if a handful of them were true, it doesn’t change my opinion of him, or the fact I’m glad to see him suffer the consequences of his choices.

Listening to Jones you have to hold simultaneously the idea that the state can plan the murder of JFK and the 9/11 bombings but is incapable of getting a man to the moon.  He says so much horse-shit that you can edit down any number of things he’s said over the years and claim that he’s right about stuff, but mostly he just flat out lies his tits off about everything anyway -even stuff he doesn’t really need to, it almost reflexive I think. If his audience having figured out Alex by now, there’s no hope for them really.

Any truth that accidentally slipped in-between the lies and brainwashing doesn’t really offset the negative impacts, His spouting about Sandy Hook was the straw that broke the camels back and is slowly getting what he deserved, but that wasn’t the full extent of his misdeeds, If he knew something in particular about  Epstein did he pass that on to the Police? Or did he just relay it on his site, generally not known for it’s veracity?

I would love for the onion to somehow keep the Infowars user base but completely invert the output, if they could slowly deprogram them and help wean them off of the supplements it might be a real service to humanity… Failing that, just turn the nonsense up to 11 and see how much wild fiction filters through to the boomer FB groups…

as far as I can tell, it’s even better than just buying it…

because the judgement is so enormous that it’ll never be paid, and the bankruptcy, the families are not going to get their money. And they’ve made it clear it’s not recompense anyway.
