I’ve managed to round off a hose guide bolt located on the top of the downtube, close to the head tube. I’d normally tap in a torx bit, but the top tube is preventing this as the gap is only 50mm. Any ideas to get it removed?

Cut a slot into it and use a screwdriver.

The issue is that I cant use a screwdriver or pliers as the bolt is recessed and the top tube is too close to the bolt. I’d upload a photo but the site won’t let me at the moment.

Is it for a modular guide system? They can be really fiddly and the bolts made of cheese in my experience. Hopefully it wasn’t done up too tight in the first place so it might be possible to use an L shaped torx wrench to try & loosen it.

Failing that (and again if it’s not too tight) might it be possible to Areldite in a hex wrench? It might depend if the engagement point is deep enough.

Yes, it is a modular guide. I think I may have to cut the metal guide away in order to access the bolt and use some pliers like those above.

As above but two part araldite and an Allen key etc (*as above above, ho hum)

dont think this will work as space constrained but can you tap a sharp edged tool at an angle  into the inside of the outside of the bolt head and create a small indent, then using the indent for grip, gently tap in the undo direction. (*gently)
