Does anyone know what the heck is up with ID Mobile?  There app and log in have been down for over a week now. I’ve got 4 Sims and can’t check balances or buy add ons etc. Its a massive pain as we are going abroad next week and will need to check usage etc. Is it down for all users? I can’t seem to find much info online which makes me think it might be not a problem for all….

edit; try contacting them using https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat  it appears to be up and working

My app updated last week and I was then able to log on and also to add my second SIM (which we use as the home internet in the router).
However the app is now not working and the safe search filter has gone back onto the second SIM, but curiously not my mobile SIM – don’t ask the wife how I know this…. (jokes, it was actually because I had accidentally clicked on a betting advert from Facebook)

OK that one worked so I’ll try again.

    Here is a Service Update

    Yeah I read that already.

    Its 10 days old

I can’t believe that’s it.  What company shuts down a perfectly good (well it wasn’t great but it worked) app and then 10 days later still hasn’t got power on the new one….

Something is afoot methinks. Luckily all sims are on a 1 month rolling contract – I wouldn’t recommend anyone take out an expensive contract right now….

I recently changed my DD to another account or so I thought…
No payment taken this month and my service was suspended. Looks like their entire accounts system is down. I can’t access my account to sort payment either by web or App or even by phone evidently, so stuck without service until they fix it.

For days they’ve been saying it’ll be fixed in 48hrs.

Tried the live chat earlier. No solution offered other than apologies and crediting my account. Told me all customers affected will be compensated for the inconvenience.

Dial 7777 to get your remaining allowances.

I’ve had issues for over 2 weeks trying to port a number over. At the moment I have a phone number that will receive text messages but not phone calls. WhatsApp also works with the number, calls and messages.

At one point last week I had a number that worked on 2 different sims, after not working on any….

I’m also in France at the moment, hot spotting to kids mobiles but have no idea how much data I’ve used! Just tried calling 7777 and it said my number isn’t active….

    No idea!

I had a similar problem when I got my wife a new phone at Xmas. Two SIM cards with the same number, but would each get calls/texts from different phones,Took about 2 weeks to sort out, and she had to carry two phones around until it was sorted

Not ID Mobile – but if switching avoid LYCA.  I switched to them for a cheap sim only deal.  Previously good call quality on my phone using Three crashed. Several people told me they were getting number unavailable when calling me.  Seemed to take longer dialling out.

It seems MoneySavingExpert are no longer listing their deals. Other people have had issues.

Luckily I was able to escape easily to Tesco Mobile. £9 a month for 12Gb.  And signed up face to face in my local branch.  It had taken several texts to get my PAC code from Lyca. The transfer to  Tesco went ahead the next working day. I guess cheaper isn’t always better.

I’m on ID and no issues with service etc but noticed the app was down a couple of days ago as my wife is about to switch over. Think she’ll wait until everything is up and running again.

Twitter said they couldn’t give an estimate of when it would be fixed.

    What company…

    Currys.

TBF I’ve not had any hassle from their end but the actual service is pretty poor, I’ve no idea if virtual providers get put to the back of the queue for quality but I’m not impressed. Once it comes to renewal I suspect I’ll be going elsewhere, just hoping EE start doing sensible prices.

Just to add: Avoid LYCA Mobile. Today I’ve had 2 active card checks on the card details I provided (only provided to Lyca so I know it is them) to Lyca mobile a year ago. Luckily they have both been declined, as I used a virtual card (Monzo) which I had deleted after I cancelled my sim for a holiday.

Another 3 reasons to avoid LYCA mobile; Money laundering, VAT fraud & donations to the Conservative party.

Coincidentally the bank card I have used for years with no issues had to be cancelled after an attempt fraud. I was also  a Lyca user. Only for a month. The service was crap. Slow connection on phone calls. People saying they got an unavailable message when the tried to contact me.

    Avoid! Avoid!.

Now with Tesco mobile £9 a month. Dead easy swap done in store. Took 3 texts before Lyca supplied a PAC code.
