There was something on Grand Designs a few weeks ago where the outside of the house had been painted with a similar thing. Kevin put a sample bit of wall in some muddy water and it came out clean.

I’m claustrophobic and I in no way have the urge to leap into a small space. Infact you could say that on a psychological level, the idea is repellent.

The opposite of hydrophobic is hydrophilic, i think hydroscopic is something that absorbs water rather than attracts it, which would be hydrophilic.

That sort of stuff is relatively well known about. We use similar technology on the bottom of boats to stop barnacles from sticking. Problem with non stick coatings and treatments is that they don’t stick to the substrate very easily.

I don’t think it’s for sale yet, their website said they’d be bringing out a spray next summer. I’m covering my bike in it, never need to wash it ever again.
