The maxle on my mates Pikes is well and truely stuck shut, and even after applying a liberal amount of WD40 he still can’t open it. Does anyone have any ideas/potions/black magic that could help him free his wheel from this predicament?

I removed mine by gently tapping the centre of the nut (little metal bit) with a punch.Make sure you have opened the lever and unscrewed it a couple of turns to free it from the threads first though.

Is a Maxle 360? I’ve unseized one in the past by unscrewing little nut on disc side, then using a seat post as a lever on the end of the maxle handle.

Take the nut off the end, pull the QR lever out and then drift the little rubber cones out. That should make it come free.
