i have poor experience with sram jockeys, i wouldnt pay £1.10

IIRC they were £150 RRP when first released but dropped ’em 10% after many complaints.

I got one of these for $8.20 and without fitting it yet, it seems OK:

but they are trick and have lasted well over the winter, and Ill look at replaceable carbon and replaceable bearings as not sure which will wear first.
got the resin version too at 15 with ceramic bearings and anodised covers so a range of colours

They get great reviews though…1 star….what better proof could you possibly need before splashing out on them?

why do mtb jockey wheels have all the holes in them (this is just somewhere for all the crap to wedge itself into)

Wow. They have just made the Campag Record ceramic bearing jockey wheels seem like a bargain!

Not all ceramic bearings are the same quality though. You’re better off with good stainless than average ceramics.
