Early this morning I wanted to swap my hope evo hub on flows to another bike. Going from 145×12 bolt thru to quick release, found the original adaptors quick release ( or one I think they are) pulled non cassette adaptor out fine, pulled cassette side adaptor out BUT did not remove the cassette first ……………no idea why……so

cassette and freehub body with the pawl all can off.

Now have reinserted body and it engages but adaptor not on and the cassette and freehub fall off.

    Have I

    a) killed the bloody wheel
    b) remedies fixes please

It may be that the freehub seal has not been pushed back into hub. Take the cassette off the freehub and ensure the seal is fully back into the hub. I don’t think you can do this with cassette on freehub.
Edit: there is a video on you tube
    look up hope hub service

You’ll need to remove the cassette lockring before you can get the axle adapter off.
