New frame, new headset.

Have always been slightly confuddled when it comes to headsets. Will some kind soul point me in the right direction?

Codeine needs the following for the Pikes (tapered);

Upper: ZS44 (44mm) / Lower: EC49 (49.6mm) external cups

When i’m looking on the Merlin site, I assume 43.95 integral is the 44mm I’m after.

For the bottom, does traditional mean external? So i’m after the 49.57?

Next question, do they come with bearings.

And, do I need a new crown race as lower cup is different size?

Yes, Hope 2(top) and F(bottom) is what you want here. They come with everything you need except the preload bolt and cover (you can reuse the ones you have).

When I built my Codeine I asked 18bikes for a 2 and an F and got everything I needed.

+1 for 2 top and F bottom
