I’ve just been given a hope BB.
It’s currently got the spacer on one side so that Sram cranks fit.
I’ve bought a set of XT cranks and would like to run the BB.

Do I just have to knock the spacer out with a hammer? Do I need a dust cover for that side once the spacers out?

The spacer is 2 pieces, that fit either side of the NDS bearing. If you look closely, you should see the seam where they meet in the middle, and force them apart.

The dust cover should still be in place once the spacer comes off. If not CRC stock replacements.
