So, first proper ride out on my mountain kings (first time was just to the park and back.

I go to fix a puncture and it looks like the tread’s caught (probably in a sketchy moment) on a buried rock or something and although it’s not huge, it’s gone all the way through.

So, how should I proceed? Talk to Continental, duct tape, new tyres?

Continental won’t want to do anything.

What I do with tubeless tyres is sew it, then superglue the threads so they can’t unravel and then put a puncture patch in the inside.

Thanks a lot mate. Tyre’s now sewed and duct taped, so fingers crossed.

I have found my Mountain Kings to be very jittery and unpredictable but lived with them for a while. Just about to swap out for the winter. At keast this will give you an excure to replace them !!
