I’ve been using a GoPro Hero Session 5 to have a record of bad driving should the need arise. Following on from another thread where it was mentioned that the police generally need date+time stamps on video, I thought that I’d turn it on for the Session; I’d assumed that it was a fairly standard video camera function.

The Session’s full range of settings are accessed via your paired phone but I can’t find a timestamp toggle (I have found a ‘set clock’ setting – this doesn’t actually allow you to enter anything so I assume it syncs the phone’s clock).

I’ve done some Googling and keep getting pointed to a ‘solved’ thread in the GoPro forums which doesn’t seem to be there when I try to access it.

Does the Session 5 have a timestamp? It seems to have a clock, although I’m not sure why if it doesn’t have a timestamp (unless times/dates are stored in a frames exif info.).
