Whilst I wait for Garmin to get back to me.... anyone else had a problem with garmin maps not installing?
Just bought a GPS to take away with me this weekend riding.
I got the Garmin Etrex Vista HCx as I wanted a basic unit but with the option to see the map underneath, but without forking out for the top models.
So I also bought the Garmin topographic maps for GB on a DVD.
But I can't get it to install on the computer.
It gets to 100% then says:
"An error occured during the installation," then a load of info about publickey tokens, version, processor type etc. ends with "Please refer to Help and Support for more information HRESULT: 0x8007054F"
I'm running vista 64 (which it's supposed to be fine with).
Anyone else had problems like this?

sorted now
Garmin couldn't work it out but I figured a way to make it work....
permissions and compatability issues with Vista 64
ran setup in compatability mode and sorted the admin priveleges etc. and its worked.
