To save us some bother when there’s nowhere local stocking anything on your shortlist.

    Bell – wide, true sizing

    Smith – very narrow

Met – wide, fits large (61cm helmet comfortably fits 62cm head)

    Leatt – narrow and long

    What else, agree, disagree?

Weird that you say smith are narrow, I’ve a round old head and smith forefront fit me perfectly, it’s most other helmets I find narrow!

Have to agree on the Bell and Smith point. I’ve a massive (wide and in general) melon (sorry Mum) and the Smiths I’ve tried pinch my temples and my current Bell 4Forty is the only helmet I’ve ever owned that has properly fit.

You’ve missed ‘not toadstool-esque’ in your description criteria 😉

Abus and Giro road, oval but not narrow.

Interesting, I thought I had a long relatively narrow head but the helmets that have fit me best have been a Smith and a Met which seems to have opposite fit.
