No, pretty sure they were the main characters on X-files 😛

With the build quality and sales numbers, the only survivors are probably in museums.

I still see some around… probably because there are no MOTs in Queensland.

The moosey Puma was a sign that things are going downhill design wise. Ridiculous name to resurrect. I was in junior school in the 70s and my best mates dad had a MK2 which to my eyes looked pretty slick compared to the Mk1, but then he upgraded to a MK3 and my jealousy levels went off the scale.

The new thing is an unwanted EV, the market doesn’t want them, they’re not the solution except for rich city drivers, and governments will fall for trying to impose bans on non-EVs. In that deeply unfavourable commercial environment this is Ford’s misguided attempt to imbue this whirring battery gizmo with soul and heritage

There are a lot of bone-headed reactionaries who fear change in the market.  Fortunately, some governments have the balls to tell them to stop whinging and do the (partly) right thing.

Sorry, but what, exactly are we talking about here? Enquiring minds want to know.

Thought this was quite funny from their Goodwood run in the Capri (pic courtesy of Dashnine on PH)

Read this earlier, I got a lot of laffs out of it, and I agree with every word*. Great bit of writing.

*Incuding the bit about the Puma, having owned one, and driven both. I also regularly drove a Mk2 Capri – not a great handling car, like later Cortinas, far too tail happy; it was suggested that the most important accessory was a bag of cement in the boot.
