employer has btw scheme, but it’s the Halfords one, really don’t want to buy a bike from them, rather use LBS, any body used them elsewhere?

Tredz do for online on anything without any surcharge/fees.

Rutlands, Pauls Cycles, Wheelbase, etc will take them on RRP stuff but charge extra on sale or discounted.

Lots of local bike shops take them on similar terms – no surcharge on RRP but they may charge you extra to do it on  something that’s already discounted.

No “topping up” on the Halfords scheme either.

tredz accept them but they are owned by Halfords. Any LBS signed up with the Halfords run scheme can accept vouchers
