I have a stainless steel Gronenberg moka pot  which makes great coffee.

Recently I stupidly I forget to put water in it and I have damaged the steam valve in some way such that it keeps blowing off. I assume I’ve damaged a polymer seal in it?

I emailed Gronenberg a couple of weeks ago but their customers services is asleep on the job and I have not heard a pip, despite prompting.

I have looked on the internet but no joy finding a specific replacement Gronenberg steam valve. A M9 replacement steam valves for an aluminium Bialetta should fit and as the Bialetti is is aluminium is probably set at a slightly lower pressure than the stainless steel Gronenberg, so safe?

So, have any STWers been successful at tracking down a replacement Gronenberg steam valve ?

Do you mean the pressure relief valve?

Its a safety feature not a pressure regulator for the brew. The bialetti one will be fine.

Yep, the pressure relief valve and definitely there for safety.

Getting a M9 Bialetti relief valve is the most likely course, I just wondered if anyone had any actual experience and knew for sure it was a good fit and safe.
