I worked next door to Dick Dipper and Reg Chicken in my old job. They were a good set of lads.

I used to work in recruiting overseas students to study at a private American Uni in London and I met a Nigeran called Avetune Onabanjo!!! Yes can you believe it! He thought it was great ni the UK as when he introduced himeslf people always laughed, luckily he took it all in jest!

Imagine this sceanrio for a moment.

First trip to Taiwan for a new job. Meeting with extremely large and prestigious suppliers MD, guy comes into the room and is a very odd looking Chinese fella with an unfeasibly small body. As is the norm, business cards are exchanged with great formality being proffered with both hands, and received likewise and then examined intently, the more important the individual the more lenghty the inspection.

So the guy bows slightly to me, offers his card, I bow back and accept the card, then examine it closely……. this is then followed by strangled coughing noise and a rapid excuse to go to the loo.

The name on the card?? Mr Bighead Woo !

There’s a guy in the States working for our company, who goes by the name of Randy Beaver. 😆

Americans seem to like the name Randy and that on it’s own makes me snigger like a 9 year old .. but RANDY BEAVER ….ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve come across some good ones like a very nice girl called Manmeet and another called Dipa Mistry.

I’m not really on about sill names, just really GOOD ones.

Mr Onabanjo, however, I would love to meet and shake by the hand!

Went to Uni with Geoffrey Jeffrey – he said it was great at school because the teaches only ever used surnames – provided him with 5 years amusement.

I was “disconnected from the mains” by a consultant called Mr Hasty at the Hallamshire.

Where I used to work we had a Belgium office and the contacts name was Bert Sars – cue giggles a-plenty. We later found out that his wife was called Gloria !!!!

One of my customers in the US years ago was Richard Succa, and yes he did shorten it to Dick

We have a Dave D’Eath working in our firm. Truly great name. I imagine him arriving in a black hooded cape, carrying a scythe!
