And before some of you start…….
I know that you can ride your bike, any bike on any day that you want to and you don’t need to do a song and dance about it, but if you are a Fat Bike owner and are in the slightest bit interested a few years ago when bike numbers were low a few of us Brits did a Fat Bike Ride Day where everyone with a Fat Bike did a ride on that day whether it be around the block, an epic or a group ride and took a photo to prove it.
    Silly, childish and fun.

Well as normal the Yanks got hold of the idea and now there is a Global Fat Bike Ride Day, this year it’s Saturday December 5th.
At any time in that 24 hour window if you have a Fat Bike and you want to join in, go for a ride on it. It’s as simple as that.

There will be several group rides all around the UK, I’m leading the North West England ride in the sand dunes, beaches and sandy single track of Merseyside.
Meet up 9am at the South end of Crosby Beach (the one with the Iron Men on it)

Ride it if you want to, don’t ride it if you don’t want to.

“Down south” and “proper beer” don’t seem to fit in the same sentence!

Everyone with a fatbike didn’t do a ride.
There’s quite a few folks that don’t need telling what bike to ride on any given day…

    Dear Stu.
I put the first 3 lines in my first post just for you because I knew you’d have something to say on the matter…… 🙄

    It reads
“And before some of you start…….
I know that you can ride your bike, any bike on any day that you want to and you don’t need to do a song and dance about it……”

and the last line as well
“Ride it if you want to, don’t ride it if you don’t want to.”

    17 riders so far

You missed your own quote about “where everyone with a Fat Bike did a ride”
I think you could be a little wrong there. 😆
I hope you and your 16 followers have a great day though…

We were going anyway, pure coincidence it’s ‘ a day’ . Just Three mates, who don’t get together that often, who all just happen to have bought fat bikes this summer. Dec 5th was chosen to suit us.

It is do’able on a plus 3″ for 90% of the ride as it’s very soft in places, but it’s a ride made for a Fat Bike really.

    What you got?

    It 3″ up front. 🙂
    But a lowly 2.8″ out back. 🙁

    I can bring a shovel…

Are you telling me I need another bike…
Is that what your saying…is it…it is isnt it… 😉

I live in Worcester and in the process of building a Fat front Inbred. No idea what I’m going to use it for but I’ll go for a ride with you on fat bike day! Maybe it will float and we can ride down the Severn?

I’m in Bromsgrove too and have just bought a voodoo (yup, hallfords) fat bike after being temporarily distracted (5 years or so) from dirt by skinny tyres and tarmac. The bike is ok. I am fairly unfit at the moment though but why not get out and celebrate? There will be cake wont there?
