I have, I think, a reasonably/sufficiently powerful laptop and I'd like to be able to (from time to time) watch Freeview TV on it. Am not bothered about being able to record it, so just need something that plugs into a USB port and lets me watch Freeview - any recommendations? Hauppauge seems to have a large selection but I'm not too sure which I want!

Thanks y'all.

Hauppauge stuff is always good quality, but if you have an ExpressCard slot try to pick one of the HP ExpressCard Freeview tuners on eBay. Picture quality and speed of channel changing is significantly better than the competition. It'll work on any computer, not just HP ones.

TinyURL due to stupid eBay, it's so deliciously satisfying to see an evil company shoot themselves in the foot over simple things.

I got a cheap USB one off ebuyer and it seemed decent but can't really tell because the signal wasn't any good where I lived (even for a proper freeview box).
