With the Anthem 29er looking to hit the shops at circa £3k is there anything else I should be looking at for a racey XC type machine? (A bit cheaper that is)

I can google as well as anyone else and look up all sorts of bike shops so really I’m after people’s experiences of these beasts.

Look at the new Salsa – frame is meant to be $999 – having said that sure it will ne mucho ££ over here.

Specilaised FSR 29er – pricey though

I’ve ridden one of these…..it has definate areas to make lighter/racier.

2011 models are due in (shock -horror!) early 2011. We will have demo bikes though. (we are also having a 29er Demo Day, date to be confirmed)
