I’ve got a Samsung fridge and I’ve previously only bought genuine Samsung filters but they’re £20 each now and I can get 3 compatible filters for the same money. Reviews seem to be mixed though so are they just as good or not?

Not an answer to your question, but if you don’t want to spend the money you can just remove the filter altogether. Ours is one that is a cylinder between the two veg drawers. I just removed it and the world carried on. It’s on the same water supply as the rest of the house so perfectly drinkable.

I’ve an in line filter that hasn’t been changed in years – occasional press a button on the fridge to stop it annoying me to change the filter – I haven’t died yet

I’ve been using cheap ones from amazon for the last 12 years and they’re fine.

When we moved in to this house, the seller couldn’t fit their big double LG fridge in their new house so asked us if we wanted it. We said yeah we’ll give you £100 for it. They said ok. Day before we moved in the filter exploded and pissed water everywhere. Seller said, the filters are about £60 so knock that off. Gave them £40 and bough a filter for £12! Bargain.
