I’ve got some 150mm Float 32’s and have decided I want to go for a little more travel for my Intense.
I’ve had 160mm 36’s in Talas variety before and liked them but that was 6 years ago.
What other options are there? Any recommendations?

New 160mm Pikes in few months or Lyrik dual pos.

What about the new X Fusion Slant? 34mm stanchions,fixed 160mm travel with choice of internally adjustable travel or variable DLA travel (like a U-Turn)They are tapered steerer only I think?

Fox 34s?

160MM 34’s. Save some weight on the 36’s. Very impressed with mine so far!

BOS Deville’s?

I’ve just gone from fox 36 float R to a Rock Shox Lyric Rc2 Dh for and it really good. I’m very happy with it and I got them new from Germany for £575.

Lots to think about then.. DeVille’s might be too much money. Lyrik’s look like possibility, where you get them form @rhysw?

Will 2nd the Fox 34’s , have 160mm Floats that have been very good so far.

Marzocchi 55 are a little heavier, but I’m guessing g you are after a more gravity focused bike, so not the be all and end all. 2010+ Marzocchi reliability is much better than previous years.

+1 for 55 RC3 having had two sets of Fox 36s

BOS Devilles are much the same price as Fox 36s

Quality fork, long service intervals, mega stiff and their UK support system is now a lot better

I think you’ll find some around in the sales as well

I’m a big fan

My 2010 55s are mint – better than my 36s and almost certainly less troublesome.
