Im after some new replacements and have seen plenty of front/rear complete kits for sale but what worries me is the length of the cables. Are they a standard length or do I have to measure what’s on my bike? My current calipers do not require any extra mounting brackets do does this mean I’m running standard size discs and therefore can just buy from any brake manufacturer?

    Cheers.

measure your existing hoses – if you buy from one of the ‘cheap and cheerful’ places they ‘occasionally’ have OEM brakes which may have non-standard hose lengths.

IF you buy full retail brakes then chances are you’ll have to shorten the hoses.

You need to look at the disk mounts on your frame and forks and the size of disks currently fitted to work out if additional brackets/adapters are required.

Thanks man. I’m new to spannering and it’s a real learning curve 🙂
