Am looking for a few rolls of zinc oxide tape, elasticated adhesive bandage and some kinesio tape. Anyone know of the cheapest place to buy?

Dunno about the K-tape, but look up ‘Cohesive bandage’ usually sold by equine suppliers; it’s not sticky but is very good for bandage type application, and beats the pants off elastic adhesive stuff.

Zinc oxide tape has fallen out of favour in our hospital, so you need to try Bootsis or the internet.

I find climbing finger tape better than Zinc Oxide

Metolius finger tape is about the best i’ve found – came in very handy the other day when I sawed my finger!

If it were me, and I appreciate SBZ might not have the same ability to charm, I would go on the Orthopaedic ward and ask the Sister if I could have a look through all their old bandages and tapes.

Crikey – unfortunately my next placement isnt until June, and that’s in a neuro department in a hospital with no ortho department.

    I’ll see what I can do…

Check out Cohesive tape though; I bought some from a Horsey shop when I needed some good stuff, it works a treat.
