Making the trip to Andorra next month so planning to put the proper finned pads back in my slx brakes for the trip

Anyone got any good reasons why to use one and not the other?

I know the uber bike ones use an insert where do they get the space from ? pad friction material or the backing plate?

I’ve got the uberbike finned pads (Zee front, SLX rear) and they do appear to have power but don’t have the same feel as the shimano (both semi metalic and resin) The do work in terms of heat disappation

We have just done two weeks with Bike Verbier. Kevin has been using the Shimano ones, I have had the unfinned Uberbike ones and Abigale the finned Uberbike ones, both with race matrix. We wont be using the Shimano ones once Kevin have used up the spares as both types of the Uberbike pads have out performed and out lasted the Shimano ones.
All on XT brakes, Kevin has used two sets front and rear. Im still on the same ones fitted at Easter and Abigale had one set on the front to replace the ones fitted last year.
