The same mum who asked for my help on cars is now asking me about financial advisers/accountants. Is there anyone on here in Lancashire/West Yorkshire that works in the field? Or whom you would recommend?

Sorry to keep asking for advice with respect to my mum!

An accountant is a fairly different thing to a financial adviser. What does she need help with?

Essentially, she has money my dad left her in Canada, and wants advice on whether or not to bring it over, and if so, what the best way might be. She is really struggling with the question, and hasn’t been able to get consistent/coherent advice. And I don’t know the best sort of professional to advise her.

    That sounds like legal advice.

An accountant or IFA specialising in international tax law? Or perhaps a probate lawyer with international experience.

I’d have suggested my IFA but this seems different from her usual stuff.
