I have Fotheringham’s book on him on the go. Any others on Coppi that I ought to get through over the summer?

    Cheers

That’s what make my road bike is. Is he famous for something then?

Revered by many as the greatest ever – career disrupted by the second world war, where he was in PoW camp. Came back but wasn’t the same.

I’ve got a great book which is a photographic TdF history, which contains an image of Coppi in bed with his manager trying to convince him to get back to the race – my God he was thin!

If you haven’t got it already (and if you haven’t I’d seriously doubt your credentials 😉 ), the current edition of Rouleur has an article on him. Haven’t read it yet, but the photos are naturally glorious.
