And not fad beer week?

It’s stout season.

Bear hug?

This is the time of year when old bears turn their thoughts to Winter.

As the nights shorten,they check the stock of logs and their choice of malts*.

Relaxing some habits as BST (British Shaving Time)draws to a close.

Once again ,they wonder if the bike** with the circus  wheels will be given enough snow to truly perform.

That’s cool!

I went to an island in Alaska where you could watch brown bears close up from a viewing area. What they didn’t say was the bears would be in the viewing area too and you’d be walking past them in the woods and river, maybe 10 feet away or less!

It was bloody frightening at first but they really aren’t interested in you, they want the salmon that are in the river in huge numbers. So you sit and watch them from the safety of a folding chair, hilarious.

Occasionally a black bear would come down and snatch a fish. They were super wary of the brown bears
