Mine seems extraordinarily high at the recommend 11mm sag, at 240psi for 77kg rider in racing kit – Fox Float Evo Factory.

Anyone else in this or a  proportional ballpark?

That’s an xc race bike if I remember correctly? Either way the shock is probably max rated at 300psi so you’ve got about 20% extra pressure to use and if you add 20% to you’re weight you’re probably at the max rating of the frame so 240psi is probably about right

Any of the – many – EE owners on here care to comment?

Pretty sure i’m running about 185 psi in my 2023 epic evo, with the float SL shock and i’m similar weight at 76kg

2022 Epic Evo Pro, size Large, 90kg rider.

230 psi gave me 11mm of sag, but I’ve reduced to 225 psi for a better balanced feel front to back. I have the blue dial set in position 2 (1-3) for support in open mode.

I assume you are setting the sag in open mode?

    Fork is Fox 34 & I’m running 30mm sag ie 25%.

(I have had & still have DW Link bikes on which I run 160 PSI)

Hmm wow.  Yes Open Mode, you mean black dial though right?   I’d agree with having the pressure slightly lower to balance the fork, albeit my fork is at 20% for racing.

Yes, sorry – the black dial, that lifts & turns 1-3

I just had another go and settled at 220psi, 11mm sag with the front at 20%.   I reckon with my slightly stiffer setup I’m quite close to your pressures despite my lower weight.

Thanks for that, I’m coming off a Scott Spark set at 143psi hence the question, although I do have an Occam LT –  similar linkage arrangement and Float X – with Evol set at 230psi.    At least now I know I’m in the right ballpark and not massively out!
