I could do with replacing my ancient MT500 bibshorts. Tried some new MT500's today, but the new style pad felt a bit odd (quite bulky). Tha pad also seemed quite far forward in the short. Didn't get to try them while sitting on a bike tho.

Just wondered if anyone on here uses these latest generation MT500's – if so, how do you get on with 'em?

p.s. if anyone can recommend an alternative tough/thick lycra short I'd be interested to hear.

I have several pairs and I like them. the pad does feel bulky when new but softens up after a few washes.

I think this version is quite a lot better than the older one, after some use and washes they do fit better but they are so much better than the older ones.
