Ebay advice please.

I’ve just put an old guitar amp on ebay,with 99p start and collect,or I deliver in South Yorkshire.A guy messaged me to say would I take a price,and he’d send a courier.I said yes,so put up a Buy it now,and immediately someone else bought it at the price.He hasn’nt paid,or answered my message about collection,any advice?

Ah. There is a prescribed way of proceeding on ebay, which will keep you right,and get your fees back.

The thing that’s teeing me off is it’s an old AC30,and packaging for a courier won’t be cheap.

After the specified time (look that up) start a ‘non paying buyer’ or whatever its called complaint.

Ive had a blinder too, sold an apple tv that had been jailbroken and had extra sports and movie channels added.

The guy wants to return it as it didnt have the 3 specific channels he wanted.. He doesnt have time to add extra channels.. all 10 minutes of it

I always state payment within 24 hours or I will realist the item.

Gah, we had one recently too. Auction finishes, packed item. Which was a git, since it’s 1.3m long and the boxes I had were about 45cm long.

Receive email from buyer “sorry, got excited, don’t have money to pay for item. Please cancel”

Sent second chance offer off.

Spoke to someone in work who’ll take it on the chance that second offer doesn’t work out.

Receive email from buyer “have found money for item. Please send”

All within 8 hours.

An old AC30 you say? How much is/was it out of interest?

I had an annoying ebayer recently. Was selling something, buyer demanded to come and see the item before purchasing, asked for a discount on the Buy It Now price, and asked me to take the ad off until they’d seen the item and decided if they wanted it or not!

WTF is up with eBayers these days!!

Had a running argument with a buyer of a french connection jacket I sold for my wife. The buyer (at a bargain price of under a fiver IIRC) insisted it was fake (it was not) as she could not find a picture of it on the internet (by googling french connection jacket), the zip did not have an FC logo on it, and some of the washing instructions were in a foreign language 🙄

I suggested she take it into a French Connection shop or pop in and have a look at some of the zips and labels and she eventually shut up.

One of the worst things ebay has done is remove negative feedback for buyers, had far more issues with them than sellers.

The mother has just had to refund a buyer 99p because the buyer of the WW1 (so 100 years old) savings book she sold him (2 months ago) complained to paypal that the cover was ‘a bit faded’.
