Evening, what’s Snake Pass/Ladybower/Win Hill like?

    Or Edale/Mam/Castleton etc?

snakes pass shut. (or at least signs are up at ladybo)

castleton, hope edale etc. all seemed fine at ground level.

I don’t want to take my Ardents off. Hebden/calderdale was totally clear today!

i don’t know what that means ref trail conditions?

don’t you leave your tyres on until they wear out?

    seems simpler to me!

Can only help with eastern peak conditions as we only rode Houndkirk / Blacker / East Moor but was very wet and muddy and plenty of snow in places but not a full covering. Great fun though.

Near me the snow has turned the dusty drifty trails into slightly tacky – I.e. not much slippier.

Drove past Win Hill today (looked dry from Bamford) but Winstone Lee Tor was fairly snowy. There was snow covering the Kinder plateau although Mam Tor looked clear.

As long as the weather is OK I doubt it’ll be too wet / miserable anywhere.

It was very wet, cold and desereted yesterday. I didn’t see another person on a mountain bike between South Head and Lockerbrook.
Specialized Fast Track where not the best option but I also fit tyres and only take them off when they’re used up.
Snake Pass was shut to motor vehicles but was open to me on my hardtail.
It was a horrible day of cycling to be honest.

Hmmmm good idea to wait until tomorrow then. Cheers. You weren’t emptying earth down your trousers as you went along like in the Great Escape?
