dual or big curved and wide?

monitors.

I use 2 ageing 32 inch monitors for work and occasionally the MS Flight Sim so could do with some recommendations on their replacement.

I use 3 27”. Makes maximising windows so there’s one on each easy peasy (Display Fusion will split a massive monitor into 2/3 smaller virtual ones for this purpose though but it costs £30 or something…)

Depends quite a bit on budget. For flight sims you’ve probably better off with an ultra-wide curved (although you’ll also need a decent graphics card due to the resolution).

For general office/WFH stuff I prefer 27″ 1440 monitors (and a decent IPS panel version). 27″ 1080 is just too low res for me and 4k you need 32″ IMO (but that’s also a fairly big price jump, don’t be tempted to go low budget at that size, you should be spending £300+ and more like £400 per monitor). I know there’s software to divide up the screen of ultra-wides but for me I just prefer the convenience of separate physical monitors.

I love my 34 ultrawide at home, but i use 2×32 in the office, I’d still rather use a single UW in the office ofr aesthetics mind

I’m used to locking windows using the windows align thingy what pops up, and having 2x square windows on an UW is fine for me when working

and the UW is great for gaming, aside for the occasional games which don’t support it perfectly

2 x 32″ is pretty damn big. You will struggle to match that on a single monitor. They also start to get pretty bloody expensive.

I have a Dell Ultrasharp 43 which is great. Not curved but doesn’t need to be. It can be partitioned off into different segments – eg 4 x 21″. Obviously you would lose quite a bit of screen with that though. I use portrait 28″ monitors either side, which matches the height of the Dell very well, but your 32s would be too big for that.

Ultrawide is awesome for spreadsheets, CAD and gaming. The vertical one for documents or Outlook the top and Teams bottom while working virtual dual screen on the Ultrawide.
