I'm building up a singlespeed cross bike and will be using MTB specific BB5 calipers.

I really like the V-brake compatible tektro rl520 levers, I like the price even more, but do get a bit annoyed sometimes when the little metal sleeve moves and they go into quick release mode.

Are there any better alternatives or should I stick with what I know.

Thanks

Dia Compe 287V levers for that classic look. £10 more but look a lot nicer.

I'll see your BB7s Keef and raise you TRP Spyres as the nads for cable disc brake doings.

The Cane creek ones are just the Tektros but with different logos and the Cane creel lizard embossed on the rubber grips plus a higher price tag.

I have the Tektros levers on my CX mutant cross and have had zero problems with them,I'm running BB7's though.

them look lush mate, but they're 3 times the price, and as I like compatabilty with spares as much as poss across my bikes,I'll have to stick to my old BB7's..... 😉
