Not been out biking for about a year now after over 10 years of getting out almost every week. I'm looking for some inspiration to get me wanting to get back on the trails. I was looking at the DMR Bolt long for all day trail riding. I'd mostly be doing trail centres in autumn winter and then natural trails spring summer. Has anyone got experience with a bolt long? Are they too heavy for all day riding and getting up hills?
Good bikes, paired with a 140/150 fork they make for a decent all-rounder.
I upgraded the X-Fusion shock to a CCDB inline, which made the world of difference to on-the-flat and uphill performance. Mine weighs in at about 32.5 lbs when built up. Heavyish, but still fine for riding around on all day.....and the downhills are a total blast 😉

Thanks for the info ajantom. Have you got it set up 10 speed, what cassette range and chainring are you using?
Yup, 10 speed.
Works Components 36t narrow-wide on the front and an 11-36 SLX cassette on the back. I haven't felt the need for a range extender on the cassette, and some of the hills are pretty steep around Devon!
I do single speed a lot though, so am happy grunting up hills.
I'd be riding in lancashire but also west yorks and cumbria so a 40tooth extender might be required.
