Was anyone up there yesterday? Is it worth going today. If not I'll go up round Hayfield.

    Thanks

Hayfield was horrid yesterday. Chinley Churn/New allotments were in the worst condition I've sen in years Middle moor was ok, but really windy!

    good luck

We always see Cutgate as a 'dry' ride. It's perfectly doable in the wet, but is exposed and slippy and potentially muddy in the wet. Given the number of alternative rides in the area, I'd say it's best left alone today.

Thanks for the replies. I'm aware that it get pretty shitty in the wet and my initial question wanted confirmation, I suppose.

Podges' reply was useful. I could try looking out of the window I suppose.

Weather is atrocious here at the moment, it was raining all night and it's windy too, it'll be grim up on the tops!

I can't believe how quickly it changes, it was bone dry there, even the lower climb up New Allotments until the weather turned really bad then it just went back to mudbath in a couple of days. 🙁

I'm thinking somewhere warm, dry and sheltered….like my living room. Call of Duty anyone?

Any sign of the regular southern Yar Yar pilgrims? 😛

Went and did a hayfield loop instead. Plenty of wind but good all the same.

Didn't see another cyclist all day!

LOL One never goes Yar Yar here in Dorset 😆

I've never had any issue with trail conditions in the Peaks. Not even my night ride down Jacobs Ladder in December.
