Looks good. Love my xc120 🙂

Detailing is great on their frames and the raw finish shows it off well there.

Just posted on the other thread, Candodavid. That is one lovely frame ... due to become a standard Curtis offering?

Can't say as this is my second Curtis and I had a bit of a good deal on it, if you want to know a price get in touch with Gary.
This is the first one done.

That is nice.

Nothing about the XC9 on the Curtis website, and you say it's the first one - so what's different about it?

That is nice.

Need more pics 🙂

I talked to Gary about an 853 26'' fillet brazed frame - 725 stays too.

He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

Still on the future shortlist.

Is your other Curtis white and SS?

Yep, the white one is the last of the frames built with 853 stays too.
That one weighs under 4lbs

It looked absolutely top at bespoked, one of my favourite bikes of the show. Look forward to seeing the new version of the build 🙂

Just a quick picture taken this morning. Up late last night building and I think it was worth it.

looks like very nice bike, love the raw/ fillet mix but for me it was outshone at Bespoked by Tim March's 26er, built to wheelie as the man himself said...

A "mid life crisis bike" if ever there was one...Just a shame I cannot find any way to buy one...no reply from Curtis on emails...and can find no sign of it on tinterweb...

Very nice.

Looks incredibly understated - would be easy to walk passed and it not jump out - which in my mind is fantastic.

Hardly looks like a 29er at all!

Interesting frame proportions. is that seatpost at normal running height? Nice to see a build with plenty of TT clearance but still a good reach.

Out of interest what are the proportions? TT and ST?

Just for note. Weighed in on the scales of truth and justice ( Scienceofficers) at 21.72 lbs.
I'm happy at that considering tyres and hubs could be a bit lighter.
Just need to get rid of the virus in my chest so I can give it some Mendip abuse.

First ride in anger at all due to virus for past 9 weeks, well amazing is one of the words I could use, balanced and stable at speed, pick up speed nice and easily.
Looking forward to taking it into tighter more technical riding, but as far as first impressions go I couldn't be happier as I wanted it to feel as sprightly as my 26" Curtis.
Would I recommend it? Well it feels exactly as I asked when I described it to Brian and Gary so that should answer any questions regarding that.
