I've got a 2009 Cube Fritzz which runs a DT Swiss X-12 (142mm x 12mm) rear axle. On my last ride my back end swung out & hit a tree which snapped the axle's QR handle leaving only the splines & the rest of the axle in place & still tight. I bought a replacement axle from chain reaction but when I compared the new with the old the threads were different, the one on the left is the new one.

Is there a Cube specific X-12 rear axle? If so where can I get one?

Thanks

Hi mate not 100% but I thought cube ran the syntace axels??
If I'm right there could be a tread difference there. Bit of an arse if there is 😯

Hi thanks for the reply.
I believe the X-12 system was developed by Syntace and adopted by the wheel manufacturers? As the axle QR handle did have the DT Swiss logo on it, I've got a feeling it could be a nightmare to get a replacement lol
