That’s right, it means the mechanism on the bottom of the dropper post/the first inch of cable where it exits from the dropper can potentially foul the suspension pivot as that runs through the seatpost roughly where it kinks. I think it’s mainly just an issue on the small frame, once you go up a size or two I don’t think it’s as much of an issue.

Yes, thanks, but there are no mounts, the only place to fit it is at the bottom of the triangle above the BB, one would just about fit there held on with cable ties, but, again, that would be in the way of the roof rack mount, so not practical. Above the top tube would work, but look strange, I’m going to try it there, but may just carry on with a bottle in a bag if that doesnt work. Of course there is the camelback bags, I dont like them, but could be a last resort.

I ended up going down the “Enduro Hip Pack” (re-branded 80’s bumbag) route, partly as I swap between bikes anyway so it works for me just to grab that with a little selection of tools/snacks/bottle that live in it all the time .

Tried a few but found this cheap (considering it comes with a £15 bottle) one feels the least intrusive and doesn’t give me a sweaty back etc.:

I fitted the bottle cage above the top tube, almost under the seat yesterday, surprisingly, it fits really well, and hardly affects standover when stopped. I’ve also gone for a thin frame bag to sit under the top tube near the head, which, hopefully, will work.

Glad you have a bottle solution you’re happy with.

Bag looks neat as well. Here’s the Cotic one that’s designed to go in the same spot:

Yes, thanks, but there are no mounts

Odd, the frame specs for the Gen 1 states one bottle mount and Gen 2 two bottle mounts.

Yes, there are two bolt holes for a mount, but, they are in the stupidest place possible, underneath the downtube, directly in the spray from the front wheel, and too far down to reach when you are riding. As well as being in the way of a roofrack clamp too.
