Anyone bought one for their kids – bike looks like it’s the same weight as an isla bike 16″ just wondering about the build quality etc…

With my Halfords hat off and my cyclist/ parent hat on…

They are a nice little bike. The levers are built for little hands, rims are nicely machined, proper headset and BB. They build up nicely out of the box as well.

I almost bought one, they look great. I cant imagine that the build quality etc is any worse than an Isla as they are such such simple bikes.
However, you can’t compete with the Isla economics, especially when the Carrera is £150 new. I decided that unfortunately the resale would likely be nowhere near that. In the end I found a 2nd hand Cnoc 16 in good condition which will likely sell for more than I paid for it once my boy has outgrown it. The Cosmos would have needed to have been less than £100 to consider it IMO.

Resale on the Isla is ridiculous. I got more second hand for my daughters bike than I brought it for originally.
