Further to the thread the other day – can you use snow foam on a bike? Does it contaminate the brakes? Is it worth it over regular bike cleaner?

Been using snow foam on my bike for years, normally have a 5 litre tub which costs around £12 so seems stupid not to use it and instead buy 1 litre of Muc off for £11

It has no effect on my brakes, same as it has no effect on car brakes

My bikes have always got a snow soaking when the cars get done.

I use the muc-off snow foam on the cars and the bikes – no issues so far.

We use Oxford Mint bike cleaner which like the muc off stuff foams up out of the bottle.

Apart from the usual first few pulls of brakes having a bit of squeal, no issues at all.

Used to use the pink stuff but prefer the Mint.

I do make sure it’s hosed off and dried with a sheet or two of kitchen towel on both rotors.

I use Turtle Wax car shampoo on the bikes and that’s fine, can’t be that different surely?

They get cleaned far more often than the van does!
