Is that not the car dealer details on the bottom edge of the plate? Not high res enough zooming in here, can you make it out on the original photo?

It’s a safety number plate – reads the same even when on it’s roof.

Guernsey number plates are just numeric I think.

It’s UK, the reg is O690. MOT check says it’s a black 2017 Smart fortwo

    MOT expires today.

Can’t make it out but I imagine the dealer is Mercedes Benz Milton Keynes.

Don’t know.  But their space perception  skills look to be all to cock

‘O’ reg letter was used for Birmingham (1903–64).

So yes, the spacing is wrong.

So a really old UK plate. But doctored for some reason.

    O 690

    Probably better spaced as O 69 0, for maximum 69er attention I’d have thought…

Non-standard spacing and font which means it’s illegal and the police will do absolutely nothing about it.

Guess that as it used to be a black one whose MOT runs out that one was PX’d for the blue one and the DVLA’s not caught up because the transfer’s in the post.

Or DVLA cockup – my red motorbike (is actually red & V5 says red) is black according to MOT check up…

I think they will! They hate this as ANPR cameras will not read it.

(Can’t see but it the roof black? So it’s a Black/Blue car)

Smart ForTwo’s get their colour designation from the colour of the Tridian Safety Cell, almost all of the MkI’s were silver.  It’s due to the panels being clip-on plastic that can be changed to a different colour, although very few owners ever did.

I could read the ‘Mercedes Benz Milton Keynes’, I guess the last bit is their phone number, but I honestly thought the numbers had been ‘shopped in, Times New Roman is not even close to being legal!

The photo is straight from phone, location near the downs Bristol.

It looks weird, almost to white.

    But real.

It’s an elderly lady I think in Cotham or Redland.

Did a job for her a while back and commented on it. Been family heirloom for years and she’s  removed from her (deceased) husbands  car too pass to her grandchildren  when she expires.

    Lovely  lady

DVLA will snatch it back at some point and auction it off.

    O 689

    Not 0690.

I love the residents parking around the area where this pic was taken. Good as a private bay outside your house and another three cars on the drive and massive gates.

Where do the cleaners park ;-)
