Any suggestions for this? Northern England, North Wales or South Scotland.

A lot of places i’ve been looking at seem to be either closed, full or with crap pubs.

    Preferably with electric hook up.

    Cheers

Scotland in December?  Have you considered “France”? ?

Langdales would probably my first port of call.  Then you can hide in the Dungeon Ghyll whilst your camping gear dries out.

Do you have a camper, or in a tent ?   Camper you may get a pub that allows overnight parking (there is a website) for free, but standard camp sites are usually shut, only the odd few that are camper only that stay open that late.

Close to Ullswater. Good pub on site. A great site (well, it was when I last camped there 10+ yrs ago)

If you don’t mind a short walk, the Wasdale Campsite (NT), about a half mile walk from the Wasdale Head inn.

I think https://thequietsite.co.uk/ is open over the new year and has a pub on site.  I’ve used it a few times and it’s been fine.

We had the best Hogmanay for many years at the Clachaig Inn in Glencoe. The Red Squirrel campsite is close by. No hook-up though and probably a bit far north for you.

Boozer in Torver has campervan pitches. Right at the foot of Walna Scar.
