    Morning all,

I use in ear headphones for music when I am out walking or running and also for making calls either in the house or again while out walking.  My most recent set where by J Labs and while the sound quality was fairly good, the noise cancelling was pretty shocking and seemed to massively over emphasise any ambient noise making phone calls quite a challenge.

I appreciate there will be an element of compromise along the way in using in ear headphones but with a budget of £100, where would should I be looking or what is worth spending a bit extra for please?

There was a recent thread here might find useful:

I  tried to list my AirPod Pro Gen 1 on the classifieds earlier but the forum threw a wobbly.

Would sell them for £35 posted if you’re interested

Tested them today and still get 4hrs + of battery life at 60-66 db with Spatial Audio on, noise cancellation off (can’t test with noise cancellation on) and case will charge 3 times, as new condition and only been used when I go for hospital stuff which is 4/5 times year as otherwise I’m stuck in house so never really used them much at all.

I broke the rubber on the medium tips when I attempted to pull it off to clean the buds with alchohol wipes, so only small and large ear tips in box but you can buy a set of tips on Amazon for £10

The IEM’s (In Ear Monitors) I wear are all wired, so I can wear them for hours, with only my phone’s battery to worry about, and I use triple-flange eartips that sit well within the ear canal, so provide industry standard noise reduction, up around 28dB.
Personally I’d go for the Mee Audio M6 Pro IEM’s; they have replaceable cables, a full set of eartips including triple-flange ones, a 3.5mm>1/4” adapter, and best of all you can get them for £40 off eBay.
I’ve been using Mee Audio earphones for years, more recently their Pinnacle P1’s, and they’re incredibly value for money, and they’re very reliable.
I’ve tried BT earbuds and headphones, and became very disillusioned with them, battery life was ok-ish, the headphones I could plug a cable into when the battery died and carry on using them, but without noise cancelling, the earbuds would just die unexpectedly then I’d have to charge them up for some time so they’d be in the case for at least half an hour, and frankly I just can’t be arsed; cabled ’phones allow lossless playback as well.
