Hi,

I'm looking for a strong hard tail frame that will happily do cross country type riding but will hold up to a fatty throwing his weight about at trail centres I like the look of the orange p7 but I've never ridden one? And I've had more on-ones than you can shake a stick at.. I don't really get on with them any suggestions? I've previously had ragley blue pigs Mmm bops chumba's on-ones mountain cycle rumble
I can't really remember the blue pig much as I only went on a few rides before I sold it but there a possibility

P7 is good. Just like a Chumba but heavier. (I had a p7 and now have a Chumba)

I had an mmmbop which I really liked. A great do it all HT. It felt quite long in the TT for such a small size (this wasn't a bad thing though)

Currently riding a Dialled Alpine, but don't have enough time on it to give a proper opinion. However I do know already that it is very different from the mmmbop. It feels like it should be cramped, but when you start moving that feeling disappears, it's quite odd. Despite the bike loving pointing downwards, I can also climb on it pretty well. The balance point seems to be quite far back, so I'm just banging the front wheel into everything at the moment! We'll see how long it takes for my body to readjust.

Dialled Prince Alberts, on my third one, due to the 853 frame classic being released fairly recently.
Think Mike@dialled is currently redesigning some new spec. models atm.

Chromag aperture, not the lightest but think they are built to take abuse.

I'd recommend an NS Surge, [s]but they don't seem to be making them anymore[/s] 🙁

Scrap that, looks like I just couldn't see them on the website last time I looked. Bombproof and great fun. Not light though.

Bomb-proof hardtail frames

It's been tried before, but didn't work out too well:

Achingly cool.

Probably still the coolest HT, but part of history now, like the Spooky Metalhead of yore:

Not as cool as the ones above but I tried for years to break a GT Avalanche frame but just couldn't do it. Other GT's may also be as bomb proof?!?

That Shan up there is friggin lovely though.

Can't believe no-one has suggested a Dialled Alpine; so I will.
