    Hi,
My trusty 15+ year old Vetta cycle computer is on its last legs – I think the wire has broken – anybody have any recomendations for a little computer for measuring ride distances – doesn’t need to be GPS.

Cateye look quite pricey, I have seen some VDO on CRC it looks like their instructions are not in english – but it shouldn’t be too hard to figure them out.

    thanks.

I’ve had both a VDO (X2DW) and a Cateye (Strada Wireless). I can’t recommend the VDO enough, way better design than the Cateye. You should be able to get the VDO instructions in English from their website.

Have a look at the sigma ones aswell, they look pretty good vfm, Rose bikes has a decent selection of them.

+1 for VDO. I have used one for five years with no problems at all, in all weathers and temperatures. One of those fit and forget items in my experience (except for changing batteries every 6 months on the wireless version)
