I ordered tyres a week ago, when I chased they responded:
"Due to it being an untracked service there are no tracking details for the parcel and the couriers terms and conditions state that they have up to 15 working days to deliver any post."
Cheap = crap; I have learnt my lesson to never use them again.
I suppose at least they responded even if their response was effectively a shrug of the shoulders.
I’ve found Tweeks really good the last 12 months tbh. They’ve actually had stock, particularly of Shimano 12 speed, when other bike shops don’t have any of it. Got some good prices on Maxxis tyres recently as well.
If you send them a query on something (either normal email or their eBay shop) then they respond pretty promptly which is more than I can say for other companies right now.
An eBay collection shop order went wrong - the shop in question refused 2 deliveries on 2 occasions and they fixed it for me pretty quickly. They took a hit on the stuff they’d sent out untracked (presumably they claimed back from Royal Mail in due course for losing it) and just sent new stuff out - and got back the refused but tracked items to sent to me.
Seconded on tweeks being excellent.
Fair enough, just warning others to not rely on them for the next month's riding.
They've lost my custom, and that of my riding buddies simply for their "don't give a damn - not our fault" response.
The tyres were cheap, but now I know why.
You get what you pay for.
And another here - never had an issue.
Latest item was an exposure rear light, delivered quickly but unfortunately it didn't fit so returned and refunded the day they received it back.
I expect the OP's custom is going to be sorely missed.
So you picked a non-tracked delivery service at checkout and are annoyed they are unable to track your delivery?
OP - How much did you actually pay for delivery and what delivery service option did you choose??
Oh and no issues here with them (Tweeks) either.
Hang about a minute - it’s only been a week. There’s a good chance they will turn up. Lack of tracking is annoying but this feels like an overreaction..!
Used them many times, never had a problem. I was told by a lad at work this morning that Amazon (I avoid buying anything from them unless there's no other option) are telling people to order stuff now if its needed for xmas, with shops being shut I expect all deliveries will be delayed for the rest of the year. I actually had something turn up 2 days earlier than expected from CRC/Wiggle this week (rarely use them either since the merger), which was a surprise
Used Tweeks a few times for motorbike stuff, and have used them now for cycling stuff too.
From my own experience, I can only highly recommend them!
Yeah they've been very good for me, even sent some stuff next day when I didn't pay for postage.
Used them loads of time and never had a problem
It's not the school holidays at the moment is it?
Theres quite a lot of these 'Waaaaa! I don't know how the world works!' threads recently.
Just bought some tyres from them a couple of weeks back. Normal delivery took 3 days.
“don’t give a damn – not our fault” response.
Wait till you see what the Government is capable of it will blow your mind.
Thought they were based in Wales, maybe thats been one of the problems in getting stuff out on time.
Order tyres a few weeks into the first lockdown, took 3 weeks for them to turn up. Can only presume that they ordered them in, just very annoying that advertised that they were in stock.
Another positive only experiences from Tweeks here. I've has great customer service when I've needed to exchange something.
That went well OP didn't it.......seems you have been unlucky by the looks of it.
I think with any mail order expect things to take longer than expected.
You get what you pay for.
They've turned up then? Yay!
