I contributed to a thread on moble apps last week and noticed that Scardypants mentioned this one

I’ve now downloaded the free trial (full cost $10) and used it for a dog walk.

Its the first of these apps that I’ve seen that lets you track an activity on a 1:25000 scale OS map. More than that it lets you download the maps that you want at home on wi fi before you set off. Draw a recatngle around the area you are visting and it downloads the maps you need to your sd card

I though that if you wanted on line OS explorer you had to pay for them? So is that a caching loop hole that will be closed or amazing value?

There is a desk top version for planning on large screen for $35 as well

android market saying the demo version was only valid for 16 days….

I’m currently using the free memory map app (mmtracker) (just for viewing maps and locating where i am i.e. no tracking) but then I had the maps already

My mate was using mmtracker last week. But he had to pay for the base maps…..

When i said free I meant free maps not free app

    I’ll look at Oruxmaps
