Needs to be petrol, easy to start, and have a line feed mechanism that isn't a total faff. Any recommendations...?

Stihl, but that probably not the answer you were looking for (price wise), has to be said, you seemingly just don't see any professional using anything other that Stihl when it comes to strimmers.

What do you need one to do?
Would a temporary hire, be more economical?

Just Bought a Husqvarna 122c... Pretty good machine.

Guess it depends on garden size and what your budget is.....

Thanks Muke, not quite what I had in mind!

Shall investigate the stihl, may be a bit pricey. Just got garden use, not too heavy duty.

Stihl FS400 or 450. Have used both at work and can take a lot of crap. When I say used think 5 months everyday in the past for about 5 hours a day. Changed to Husky and they spent more time in the work shop being repaired then on the job.

[edit] sorry might be to expensive for what you want.

The honda is a bit expensive for me. Anyone tried the stihl FS50? Looks about the right price if it's a good one.

... well I did like the look of this but no one will deliver a Stihl and I'm not very close to any dealers. Bit of a pain.
